rose.. blanc.. noir..

handmadebooks &
craftgrrl)
Did another one. I found some signatures I sewed together and some uncorrugated cardboard I had from another unfinished project. I used leftover black paper & rose scrapbooking paper, my 3M Super77 spray glue, packaging tape, and images from LOFT frames (one which held multiple photos for my bf, and one more image from a LOFT frame he gave me). I thought the black & white photos used in the frames were beautiful so I saved them, but I didn't have any use for them. This is just another blank journal, but it's kind of crappy. Don't know what I'm going to use it for just yet. Might just stick random photo finds (such as the LOFT images) throughout the whole book. Or create word poetry using cutouts, like magnetic poetry -- but not magnetic.
I actually meant for the photo on the cover to be centered, but the spray glue was so tacky and I had already gotten so much on my hands that it sort of just fell into place all diagonal. I also never meant to use the clear packaging tape, but the cover ripped a bit because I didn't leave enough room between the spine & cover boards, so I had to remove the spine cardboard piece altogether. The white paper from inside also stuck out all funny so I tried to trim it to stay in, but I trimmed it pretty unevenly. Ha ha.. messy sloppy job. There's packaging tape all over the place. I used the rest of the LOFT images randomly throughout the journal. The largest one is in the very middle of the book. Yep, and that's all.
