What to do what to do..

I need some help here. I have two pairs of wide but short pants from hot topic. They're both pretty plaids so I don't want to get rid of them, but I'm not sure what to do with them. I was thinking of making one into a skirt, but I'm not sure what kind of skirt and what to do with the other pair. Here's the pictures of them:


^Sorry about the darkness, the street sign on the wall took all the flash. This is how they are on me right now, except that I had to hold the back together at the waist so they don't fall down.

^Other pair, which is the same size as the first. It's more purple and has reflector/shiny laced in it, but the picture does no justice for it.
