Going to Michaels tomorrow with my mom for a birthday shopping trip. After all the hats and scarves I've seen on here I'm going to try to srtat croceting (sp) and knitting. I also want some stamps, ink pads, and whatever draws me to it.

What are your essentials, or what would you recommend a newbie crafter with time on her hands and the will to experiment?
