I have had a couple requests for the instructions on how to make the halloween wreath I posted earlier today. I found the instructions on a free leaflet at Walmart, from Red Heart. If you want to take a look at the actual leaflet, look here. This is a different pattern, but I worked off of this.

You will need for a Halloween wreath at least 6 oz of black yarn and 6 oz of orange yarn. You will also need either a wire coat hanger, or a 12" wire ring you can buy at your local craft store (I found some at walmart). Also, any decorations you would like. I used foam stickers, but you could use anything with a hot glue gun.

Shape wire hanger into a ring, then bend hook for hanging loop OR use purchased wire ring.

Yarn Bundle (Make approximately 88): Wind yarn 20 times around a 4" piece of cardboard. Slip these strands off the cardboard. Then, with a separate 8" strand of yarn, tie strands together at center ; do not cut yarn loops.

Using the ends of the 8" strand, tie the bundle to the ring, positioning the bundle perpendicular to the wire .

Make another bundle and tie to the ring adjacent to the previous bundle. Continue to make bundles and tie them to the wire in the same way, positioning each bundle against the previous bundle and working around the ring until the entire wire ring is filled.
I put 5 bundles together to make one stripe, and continued around.

Attach decorations; glue in place if necessary.

This wreath can be made with any colors and any design...very very versatile! have fun!!!!
