Spats pattern?

Anyone know of a site that has a basic pattern to make spats? Ya know, those things that go over your shoes, esp. in marching band uniforms. I need a yellow pair for my Halloween costume.

I passed on buying and dyeing a pair, figuring I could find a pattern at the fabric store. Looked for a pattern yesterday - no dice.

I'm sure I can wing it, but I was looking for the basic shape to get them to drape right over my shoes.

Would anyone like to guess why I need yellow spats for Halloween?
