barbie shoe earrings + rocket pants

craftgrrltoday i made myself a set of four earrings made out of barbie shoes. i just stuck a pin through the bottom of the shoe, put a post in it, and super glued it down, pretty basic and a bit bright and clunky, but interesting nontheless.
i dunno..im thinking that for my next little spur of the moment project, i want to find some track pants in a thrift store (maybe dark red or green ones..i like those colors) and sew rockets going up each leg on the stripes. i know they sell that same material at the thrift store. hopefully im as good as an apliquer (sp?) as i think i am, but i really dont think so. any tips?
