this month's issue of Lucky mag features "Idol Charms," which are similar to the glass jem bracelets as well as the resin bracelets mentioned several posts ago. the charms are multi-colored photos that look as if they've been run thru a laminating machine, then cut out by hand. a bracelet =$50 and a necklace =$30!!! a keychain & earrings are available as well. i'm for handmade, but for these prices, they should at least crop the pics w/ a craft punch!

a question for all you crafty ladies.

i'm new to the whole community thing, and i was wondering if some of you could help me out.

i tutor a group of children with special needs. i've been asked to create some sort of activity or lesson for them to do, and i was hoping to find some art or craft related ideas here.

there are about 8 students in the class, and they range in functioning levels...but the work they do is normally fourth grade elementary school type. (ie: finger painting is not really a challenge for them.)

i was thinking of finding some sort of craft idea that's inexpensive and doesn't take more than an hour and a half to complete. (something along the lines of macaroni picture frames, but more colorful and creative.)

if anyone could help me, i'd greatly appreciate it. i'd love to hear any ideas that you have.
