posted this in the pins_n_needles community, but they didn't seem to have any suggestions :

So.. I have a ton of my own designs I want to create. Normally I would just get a pattern close to that design, alter it and add on anything to create my design, but I have quite a few designs that normal sewing patterns wont match. The waist band on some of the pants are shaped in a "V" and are thick, and some are just not a rectangle at all, if that makes any sense..

Well, my question is, until I am enrolled and taking a pattern making class in a fashion institute ( onli about a year away, after I graduate from Toni and Guy Academy! ) any suggestions on sites or computer software I might want to look into for creating my own patterns? I was thinking about just using Pattern Ease or sumthing like that for it to be traced onto. I work at JoAnns in the apparel fabric department, so I got the hookups on all this shiznit ;D

Thanks!

My roommate recently moved out, so I've been making a lot of changes to the apartment, one of which included a tiki transformation in my boring bathroom. I sewed the shower curtain out of fabric that I wanted so bad that I would have sold a kidney to get some.

tiki time! )
