tHis is the necklace I bought this weekend- told you it wasn't anything special. I only paid $4 for it, but it's a keepsake of our Woodstock Fair adventure (including seeing the Village People & meeting some of them, and I got to get groped by the biker, while my husband watched & took pictures!!!). I just want to length it a little bit, the easiest way possible!

I was wondering if anyof you have worked with resin?
finally found where to buy it but it seems to be a bit...troublesome..to use and get right.
I've notived that a lot of websites are selling these resin bracelets
,

but everybody seems to be using the very same shape. is there a reason?
would it be possible to make beads of resin? earplugs?

I've been buying classic board games at thrift stores and hot gluing the pieces to them as if they're in play so that I can hang them on my wall.

See a few here. )

Does anyone have any good ideas of the best way to hang them? I tried simply hot gluing those metal toothy fixtures to the back (you know, the kind that usually are nailed into a frame), but I suspected they wouldn't hold. I was right. Does anyone know of a better way to hang these without puncturing the cardboard at all? I'd appreciate your ideas.

i have a craft fair this weekend and i'm not sure how to price two of the items i make.

the headbands aren't those thick, winter kind. they're just little knit things to wear whenever. my "fall" colours are shown there, as well as dark grey shown above and the yarn is a nice quality. i'm thinking of making them $6-8? not sure

the vinyl necklaces are thinner than the cuffs. they all have gromit clasps. i have no idea how to price these.

all the prices at these fairs are always high to make profit back, so please let me know the most you would pay for these and what you think the price should be.

thank you.

Can someone please tell me what a shadow box is, what it's made of, and what it's used for?
Thanks so much.

I have no money for my ma's birthday, so one of the things I'm going to do is make her her card; Does anyone have any ideas for cute hand-made cards?

What about small easy DIY-gifts ?
So far, I have two picture frames with pictures of hippos cuz she's crazy about hippos, and I made her a bunch of those half-sized marble things that you glue pictures behind and then super glue tacks to the back (I dont know what they're called), for her tack board at work, a hand made bracelet, and I'm going to give her flowers and her favorite pie.....

She's sooo under appriciated (I'm the only one in the family who ever remembers her birthday!), I want her to feel special, but I have no money....I have felt and some fabrics scraps....lots of magazines to cut out pictures from....

Can anyone offer me any advice?

A question about those half marble magnents:

what do I use to glue the pictures to the marbles? I tried using modge podge, but the picture ends up having white glue stuff on it and the picture comes off easily.
thanks in advance,
-jane
