I am now the semi-proud owner of bathbysamia.com (dont bother looking, theres nothing there yet), much to the urging of a friend (those pesky business majors!)
I make soap.
I know nothing about selling that soap online.
This is where you guys come in:

Do any of you sell your homemade products online? If so, can you post your site url here? (not looking to gank layout designs, or anything like that. Just curious about what info is KEY to online retail)
How much, if any, profit do you make?
How do you handle orders and payment?
How do you go about shipping?
How time consuming is it? (actual sale and process time. not time involved in making the product)
Do you advertise? where?
Any key info?

I am desperately in need of advice. Yikes. help!

Hi everyone! Just want to let you guys know I'm here. Craft-wise, I do alittle bit of everything. Right now I'm into clay pot crafts. Candle holders, characters, anything that can be made from a pot! :-)

Until my boyfriend and I get our furniature shipped down here (New Mexico) from Seattle, we've been sleeping on one of those inflateable mattresses that you can play with in pools...only it was a double, instead of a single. Well...I popped it. I don't want to throw it away! It's clear, and has rainbow *cup holder* kinds of holes in it. Any ideas of what I could do with it? We tried fixing the hole...it didn't work. There must be SOMETHING fabulous I can do with it!

If you join the newsletter at

www.smsilversmith.com.

(which is a bead and supply company, they will send you a little sample bead backet. They sent me some nice 4mm red jasper. Not a huge amount, but it is a nice crafty freebie!

Does anyone know where I can find lucite rings? I have a bracelet pattern that calls for 1/2 inch lucite rings and I searched Michael's website and came back with nothing, might I find it at a yarn shop or a fabric store? I don't actually even know what they look like but judging the pattern I'm imagining them to be similar in shape and size to a washer.

anyone? anyone?
