hey :) i saw that someone posted the link to the kitty hat, and i thought i'd try to make it..

this is my first knitting project so lol it isn't all that great. i made the beanie part waaay too short and it turned into an "enrique hat" :hides face:
i was wondering if anyone knew of any small knitting projects i could practice with. i want to get these "seed stitches" and purls and stuff down before i bust out the $3984yarn for my second hat

found out recently i am allergic to wool [i think so anyway because i get a rash around my neck whenever i wear a wollen scarf - yes that means all the work i put into knitting meself a scarf has become rather useless hmmm]
so i decided to make a new one out of polar fleece. its really easy to work with [no need to hem the edges cos it doesnt fray] and cheap too as i needed only 40cm of it...not even half a metre! [its very warm of course!]
i included a pocket inside it as well..so i can carry my purse when i go for a walk down the street without having to bring a bag.
here are some pictures of the first one i made )

Yay! My friend just gave me 4 yellow duckies patches thingy, cut out from a fuzzy bathrobe....They're so cute! They're about a few inches tall and wide, and have blue background.......DUCKIES!!!

I want to make something with them...but what?
Soooo many ideas.
Preferably something wearable, like glueing or sewing them to a jacket, or jewlrary....all ideas greatly appreciated! :)

*gives everyone pastries*

Please and Thank you. :)

(I have been on a knitting kick recently... I just posted this to my regular journal and thought that people in a few communities I read might be interested. Sorry if you get this a few times from the crosspostings! i've tried to keep the "teaser" short and not disruptive... :)

These are my works-in-progress... mostly knitting stuff, but also the beginning of altering a sweater slightly so it's a style that flatters me more than its current style. Very photo-heavy (around 8 pix, I think), so beware - this will take a while to load if you're on dial-up. Tell me what you think! (well, as long as it's positive... :)

aren't you curious? )
