Hey everyone,

I posted a survey a few days ago but i forgot to add some questions & i found a much easier way to compile all the answers.

I made a survey & put it on my web page http://members.rogers.com/euphoria-angel/ . For those of you who answered my previous survey, thank you so much. I would really appreciate it if you could fill this new one out as well.

For everyone else, please go to my web page & fill out the survey.

I really appreciate all of your help,

diana

as i was perusing the links listed on vogueknitting.com i came across an excellent organization helping those in need stay warm. the organization is called the Warm Up America! Foundation.

i'm as wary as the next person about institutions and establishments employing the word "America" in their titles, but this collaborative effort seems really worthwhile.

"In 1991, a knitting yarn retailer in Wausau, Wisconsin, Evie Rosen, decided there had to be a way she could help the homeless. Her simple concept of asking customers, friends and the community to knit and crochet 7" X 9" sections that would be joined into afghans grew into a nationwide program that has produced more than 80,000 afghans. These afghans have been donated to victims of natural disasters, battered women's shelters, the homeless, and others less fortunate than ourselves."

you can contribute to the cause by using your scrap yarn to knit or crochet one or more 7" x 9" sections that will later be sewn together to create afghans for the needy. what an excellent way to use all the yarn left over from various projects you've finished!

to find our more about how you can help the Warm Up America! Foundation, please click here.

p.s. my apologies for the cross-posting. i simply thought this as important to share.

I have a pack of old tarot cards that I bought. I was curious if anyone here had ideas what to do with them all?

I know I'll be making a birthday card out of one of them..

Thanks!

ribbon belt )

I made a belt tonight with discount woven ribbon and large D-rings I picked up at the local fabric store. Literally, I think this entire project took about ten minutes to make (including measuring, cutting, pinning, and sewing). I'm really happy with how it turned out and I plan on making a bunch more.

Total cost:
D-rings = 1.00 CDN
Ribbon = 0.50 cents per metre (approximately 2.5 metres)

Cheap and quick, just how I like my diy projects. Heh.

This is a slightly complicated question about freelancing. I'm in kind of a fix, I think.
