Altoid Tins
Feb. 19th, 2003 12:43 amOk, boys and grrls...a lot of people have expressed interest in getting their hands on Altoid tins...without the Altoids...for pocket shrines/marble magnet boxes/lip balm tins/etc.etc.etc....
Well, my husband has tins. Lots and lots of tins. And trust me, the Altoids are all gone.
Anyone interested in getting their hands on our constant supply of Altoid tins, please e-mail me at rhiannon@dmcom.net ...We'll be happy to figure something out. :-)

Phone card art?
Feb. 19th, 2003 11:08 amI've got all of these prepaid phone cards, all of which have no time left on them, but I'm keeping them because I like the designs ... I've probably got about fifteen or so. Any thoughts on what would be nifty to do with them?
Sculpey dolls
Feb. 19th, 2003 11:43 am
I made these for my nieces out of Sculpey. I rolled out leftover pieces of colored Sculpey on top of each other, then rolled them up like a cinnamon roll. After slicing, I rolled them out flat and covered the tin foil body I made. I have more pictures if you want better details. I wish I could paint, poor girls will probably never have faces :-(
I posted some teddy bears I made out of dryer lint in
pondering....

artmail, is dedicated to non-boring mail. since there are plenty of communities for mail exchange, the distinction

the community will be private and i will only approve of members who are known swappers and/or artists. for more information, please email me at latraviata@livejournal.com.
this message will be crossposted to several communities. please excuse me as i go on a maintainer rampage for new members!

modge podge blues
Feb. 19th, 2003 08:03 pmhi--long time lurk, first time post. i remembered today that i forgot to share the modge podge discovery i meant to share earlier: a couple months ago, i "forgot" (read: was too lazy) to clean modge podge out of my favoritest synthetic bristle brush and of course it dried solid as a *rock*. i kicked myself a good one, cuz i really liked said brush. i then left the brush in about an inch of water for a long time, replacing water as needed. when i examined the brush again after a month or two i discovered the modge podge was soft and relatively easily removed from the bristles. this was news to me because i have clothes years old which have been on the wrong end of the modge podge brush and are still scarred.
