I made up this stupid
slumber party game.
I got the idea taking a bath last night and I just
finished it.

Inspiration has struck!!
I want to make two collages -

The first is to be made up solely of black and white pictures. Not just photographs, but any sort of black and white picture at all. Only one condition - not newspaper. I just find that newsprint fades really fast...

The second collage I want to make really really colourful, with mystical characters and images, eg faeries, mermaids, dragons, sprites, pxies... anything and everything!!

So ladies, I was wondering if you would be able to help? Do you have any pictures that I would find useful lying about unused? Would you be willing to send them to me? If you wanted paid, or something in return I will do my very best to sort that out for you too...

Email me at bittenlip@livejournal.com if you can help.

I seek your wisdom. I have a few tshirt-related questions:

1. Does anybody suggest/condemn getting 1 color screened in a shop & then me hand-painting some accents & stuff over or around the design - i wanna give each shirt kinda an individual & imperfect feel without spending too much time.

2. Does anyone know of good tshirts brands/styles to use? I'd rather spend more money on good-quality shirts than have those shitty fat, short ones. I'm looking for shirts that are kinda taller & thinner & lighter material. maybe a little stretchy? Like the stuff you could get in the 80s.

3. I'm getting my business license in June. about how much will that save me buying tshirts wholesale? nobody will give me quotes unless I have a nuber.

4. Any online screen printing shops that you suggest? I know of a ton of sites, but haven't really gotten reliable feedback on their quality/service.

I'm also gonna screen print a bunch with simpler designs myself but I don't want to mess with the detailed stuff.

thanks in advance!

what type of glue would i use to hold a (finished)puzzle together? i bought a puzzle to go in a basket that i will be giving away at a family reunion, and i want to give whoever wins it a container of glue and some instructions on how to frame it or soemthing. will any kind of glue work? and how should i tell them to hang it? maybe get some cardboard and attach it to that?

meow.

a recent hat i made.

it was done as more of a request by my little sister since she has been bugging me to make her one with cat ears (my niece is the model).

the first time i've actually done a straight seam cylinder properly. usually i just go around and around in a spiral without really paying attention to where i am.

made quite simply with front post treble crochet stitches and the ears were done by just making two lopsided triangles out of the different colours and then stitching them together.

i received some flowers for free today! free at trader joe's!

they're 6 goregous roses. in perfect condition. they are of no sentimental value. and i know this community has memories about drying flowers. but i want to know some cool things you have done with flowers. whether it be drying them, pressing them, etc. etc.

what are your favorites. anything new?

I haven't been able to find any good information on this topic through Google or the Memories section, so it's time to pick the brains of the fab bunch of Craftgrrls!

I want to start work on a Samhain costume, and part of it is a skirt made out of feathers. But as finding feathers large enough to do the trick, in appropriate colours, would be very tough and possibly expensive, I was thinking about making them out of some sort of fabric.

The trouble is, I don't know how to make convincing looking feathers. Does anyone have any ideas, or better yet a web page with instructions? I'd be ever so grateful.
