i can't find this in the memories section, but maybe it's just me =/

but do we have any old posts about what to use when gluing/taping the cd cover art onto the actual cd? ...precautions, what is best for it, what might damage it, if modpodge is a good idea...
that kind of stuff.

if not. would you like to give me advices? please o please? I don't burn cds and i know nothing...

i know there are things which i can print on...special sticker paper or whatever...but if possible, i'd like to just use plain paper and whatever i have at home [hopefully] or things i just might have easier access to...thanks. =)

I think I just made the easiest shirt in the world, If you can call it that. I took a large bandana and put eyelets in and added string (buying GOOD string tomorrow) around the neck and criscrossed it in the back and did some cutting and VOLA! I'm planing on finishing upt he edges and selling it. If anyone is interested, please let me know by commented or e-mailing me at Kornfreak4343@yahoo.comdisclaimer: I know someone of my size shouldn't wear shirts this small.... )

i have this bag:

it contained 2 cheap hairbrushes that my sister bought...and i kept it thinking i could do something with it. it's been sitting in a drawer for a few months and i just remembered i had it.
it's transparent, as you can see...and measures 10 inches long, by 3 inches high and is 2 inches wide. it has a black plastic handle and a black buckle type [ish] fastener.

so...what can i do with it??

I made this

I went to a party over the weekend and the hostess had a lot of cute/pretty things around her house that I wanted. Some of the things she made like the floral arrangements but I'm not that good and wasnt even going to attempt something like that. One of the things I loved that she had I decided to make my ow and went to Garden Ridge Monday night to pick everything up for it. Its a candle votive holder... )

hey! this is my first time posting.....

okay, i'm just cleaing up my room (i live, unfortunately, with my mom for the time being) and i've realized that i have a TON of stuffed animals. i only sleep with one (Pammy, my cabbage patch doll <3) and the rest are continually getting kicked off my bed, under my bed, behind my bed, etc. etc.
Is there any creative way i can store them in my room? i am thinking about one of those corner nets, but i tink it looks too childish. I got a bunch on shelves, the special ones to me, but any other suggestions? I am thinking maybe the top of my bookshelf.....

i really like the little change purse. i still think the clutch needs straps - which wouldnt make it much of a clutch now would it? but then again i really dont particularly like clutches to begin with. the coin purse was exceptionally easy. everyone should try it!

both have small velcro closures.

Since people are always looking for something to do with AOL tins, I had an idea.

My guitarist bought some strings and they came in a similarly shaped tin. It might have been a touch deeper.

Anyway, how about decorating it and putting some guitar picks and a couple of "E" strings in there (the smallest string, and the most often broken) for a sort of "emergency kit"? You can get individual strings at the music shops.

Altoids tins would work to hold just guitar picks.

Anyway, just an idea :)

I know I saw this in the FAQ somewhere, but I can't find it now!

I really want to make some paper daisies. I have the link to the site
  • here
  • about how to make a Mexican paper flower, but I'm sure I saw a different website that had instructions on how to make a paper daisy...

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was wondering if anyone does those "work-at-home" jobs where you assemble crafts? I kinda lost my job, and need something in the interim, and thought that could be cool, if it is legit. Anyone have any good info/experiences to share?

I checked the FAQ and memories section on duct tape and I was wondering if any of you knew if it was possible to sew duct tape? And also- how do you glue things to it? Like a decopaged image...is that possible?

All right, I'm having a little bit of trouble with a school project.

We are each assigned one secret partner and we need to give them a cup or mug on a specific day that "says something about them." I don't really know my partner that well. . . well, at all. All I know is that she listens to a bit of Jewel.

But work with what you've got, eh? I'm totally broke, though, but I found a plain, white mug in our cupboards that I could possibly use.

    So my question is:

Is there any way that I can transfer a picture or something to a mug? Is there something like an iron-on for ceramics? Is my only option painting something kind of similar?

And for the Jewel fans, is there any sort of symbol or famous picture or something that would represent Jewel?

Thanks for your help! Oh, and I'm planning on putting the chocolate mix in it.

Made another bag....:) Bloo Elmo monster fur...
It's lined (to see inside look under the lj cut) with pink flowery fabric. It's got an edge of black bias binding. The strap is black ribbon and it's loonng :-) about hip height (depending on your own height!) if you want to know anything else about it just ask away. Either here or email me zebraphenia (at) hotmail (dot) com

So heres the latest finished project. I procrastinated forever with it because the strap was such a bitch to make, as well as sewing in the lining. The stitching isnt perfect, but over all Im pretty happy with it. This material was really difficult to work with, so considering the difficulty I think I did well. Especially this being my 3rd bag made. I give myself props. What do you all think?

Trendy Trendy! But trendy sells, right? =)

    Body Double

Well, I finally found the time to make a duct tape body double. Yay. Aside from being wrapped a bit too tightly, (legs turning purple getting vaguely lightheaded)it went relatively smoothly. In the pics it looks a little lopsided due to the fact I still need to get a xmas tree stand for it, and the hanger pokes out of one armhole more than the other, but that won't affect measurements.
For anyone who was hesitating I say, go for it!

hmm...i was wondering if anyone ever considerd making a page where all the tutorials could be found, and people could submit them...and have one big tutorialtopia! I know it would help beginners like me...and i would do it but my skills are limited :(

is there a page like this that i dont know about..i know theres the memories section but that doesnt cover everything...

    [identity profile] makeuplovegloss.livejournal.com
I'm going to be starting my first zine. It is going to be a diy/crafty related zine. I need some submissions. If you are interested in submitting anything, please email me at katebug48@yahoo.com and put ZINE in the subject line. Also, if you are interested in advertising with me, we can do that as well. Just email me, and we can work out the details. If you do submit anything, you will be given full credit.
