viva la revolucion!
Aug. 4th, 2004 12:07 ami've been craving to do something crafty lately, especially since i got my (still new) sewing machine on my birthday last month. trouble is, it's been so hot and humid here in connecticut, and i've been so allergic to things right now that i've felt completely lousy.
however i finally did something about it last night by scrounging for a needle in this house and thrift-store thread and some felt and bargain knockoff velcro. mix them together and you create....
the mishacuff!*
*so named for my wee bairn misha, who looks like this.

i had to scan it because my sister packed away our digital camera, but you get the general idea. the sewing is less than stellar, because i admit i am not a great hand-seamstress. but i think it lends to the cute handmade feel. i was unsure what to put in the word bubble but because my sister and i have decided this dog requires a revolution (she's thatevil cute), i figured it fit.
what do you think? i think i might make some more random cuffs sometime, perhaps with lacing or snaps.
