hey ladies and gents, if this is inappropriate, please feel free to delete...
i was just wondering, for those of you who sell or trade your crafts online, have you ever had trouble with shipping?

i recently sent a perler bead bracelet to a friend [i'm in canada, he's in the US-- i don't know if that makes a difference], and he says he only received the envelope with a message that said the bracelet was either lost or damaged. that seems like a whole lotta crap to me... why would the postal service do that? any tips for next time? thanks for any info!

I'm really really proud of this one. Made from an old zip-up hoody, and an old sweater.

I've seen what I was and I know what I'll be. I have seen it all, there is no more to see... )

I'd had this idea in the back of my mind for the longest time now, and it turned out 203984239 times cooler than I'd imagined. omg. *rolls around*

I bought this board from Hobby Lobby(sorry I don't know the exact term) and I painted on it and I love it so much plus it was so much cheaper than canvases. My cousin was taking apart his dresser and the slideout drawers and shelves were made almost like the board I bought so he donated them to me. They worked out perfect I would have to say. Here is what happens when you are up at 3 in the morning with a box of paints.

This community is SO great! I've been mainly lurking, but I am dying to get some feedback on my latest project.

I made a felt book for my daughter's first birthday. It took me about 2 months to do - 1-3 hours a night.

Felty Goodness )

Thanks for looking :)

ETA: Thank You SO much for the amazing comments!

I also want to add, that this book is something that we ALWAYS look at it TOGETHER. I don't let her play with it alone because of the buttons and beads and the safety concern. They are definately fastened properly, but you can't ever take the chance. If you are going to use this as inspiration, please keep that in mind. (Thanks rocks_in_riots!)

Self portrait in thread on cardboard.
I'm not entirely happy with the colour correction.
Also, text is annoying to embroider when it's so small.

right, i really need some help...please?!

i'm having a Western themed party in 4 weeks.  and i desperately need decoration ideas...!

i was originally going to buy a couple of plastic wagon wheels and a plastic cowskull. but i've decided not to...and am hoping to make decorations instead.  i've saved a few photos as inspiration...which are behind the cut )

i'll be buying some crepe paper streamers, to hang from the middle of the ceiling. but that's about as far as i've got...

i need more ideas...help!

btw, i'm in the UK...and my main colour theme is red and blue.

as it happens, i don't need ideas anymore, as i'm holding the party in a different place.
but thanks to everyone who suggested things, heh :)
and sorry to anyone i [completely innocently] offended :\
