Everytime I open a seal of Tropicana Orange Juice, I have always wanted to make something out of it. I would have hated to let it go to waste.

my new amigurumi 'snuggle bunny'! :) 100% acrylic worsted weight, h-hook, poly-fil, no pattern.

i bought a book from yesasia, but it was out of stock and they are refunding my money. :( this bunny is inspired by various photoscans i had seen floating around on the web.

and i loooooove it.

I am attending my first craft fair ever! It is next weekend in Savannah, Ga.
Here are some bags I've made to sell there. I was thinking $10-$15.
Do you think that is a fair price??
Since I am still new at sewing these bags are pretty basic.
Thanks for looking and any advice!

So last night I went clubbing.

I had nothing to wear, so I decided to make a top, it took me about 2 hours from making the pattern to finish.  I think it turned out pretty good too.  The most annoying thing was that it kept slipping off my shoulders all night, so I think i might add a tie at the back and that might fix it...

some piccy's )

I wore hugely high stilleto-y heels, because all my friends are giantly tall, and without them, I'd be about a head shorter than all of them.  but they hurt my feet SO much, so I took them off to dance in, and then idiotically didn't put them back on as I walked through the bar area, and stood on a piece of glass.  My foot bled.  Alot.  So we went home.  But it was 2am anyway, and it was a good night.

Because I'm not that hot a knitter yet (but very hot on my own accord =P), my mum knit up two uteri out of the kindness of her heart. The hot pink one is mine and the wint-o-green one is for one of my loopy friends. I'm giving it to her tomorrow, so if your initial's are CF, you have "lovely branches," and you are deca-knot, do NOT click on the lj cut because I want it to be a surprise.
If you have no idea what a deca-knot is, click and I will awe you with uterine glory... ish )

well... yesterday was my 19th birthday. i got a lot of money, i'm trying my best not to spend it all on beads :P.

the finished product!

i didn't do too bad for a first try with this chain/loop link thing. i used 26 gauge half hard wire, head pins for the end beads, and her mom asked me to put it on a black satin ribbon instead of sterling chain. that created a new challenge for me as well. i had to figure out how to poke holes in the fabric without messing it up. i did pretty well though. i made my own jump rings too. the necklace tied in the back and the ribbon reached half way down her back. she looked so pretty last night :). everybody at dinner liked the jewelry i made :). lauren said at the dance, the first thing everybody said about her outfit was "i love your necklace." that made me happy. too bad i couldn't get a shot of the back of the necklace. i'd like to thank everybody for their suggestions. it was VERY helpful. the necklace moved around a lot so i couldn't get a decent shot of it on her :P.

anyway, here's the pictures i promised.

warning, big pics )

hi! october is here, and i LIVE for halloween! i think i'm going to be rainbow bright this year. i found a costume online, but it looked like a pain to wear. so i was going to try to make one. i think its going to be a lot simpler though. i just wanted your opinion on if you guys think it would look authentic enough.
heres my plan:
-buy some rainbow fabric to make armwarmers and legwarmers and a belt
-buy a big royal blue tshirt and resize it into a dress and add ruffle sleeves, and wear the belt around it.
-red sneakers
-make a blonde wig from pigtails. which brings me to another question. im going to try to make a cartoony looking wig from some bright yellow yarn. how would i do this? i was thinking just hot gluing or sewing strands to the waistline of pantyhose that i would pull over my head. then just use blue ribbon to pull them into pigtails, even though rainbow bright has a ponytail.

thanks!

I haven't posted a bag in a while...

I do have a question as well. Has anyone attached snaps to purses or clothing? I need a little info from someone who has experience.

Thanks!

here is an idea i'd like to share ... i like to draw with fine-point sharpies on white fabric that won't bleed, and use them as appliques or something :) it's very simple because it's just like drawing on paper !

btw ... does anyone attend FITnyc ? (if this is an inappropriate question - let me know)
