soo, i've made some patches that i wanted to sell on etsy. i fiddled & fussed with the design for a few weeks, and finally got to a point with it that i was willing to produce as a final version, so i made my first run last night. i posted them this morning, and i sold the first one within an hour, another one during the day, and then someone came along & bought the rest in one fell swoop.

naturally, i'm super-excited and can't wait to go make tons more (especially since i wasn't that huge a fan of the first color scheme, but i just put them up anyways, because i can get really picky sometimes). i already have a few coordinating satin & brocade pieces cut out & set aside for them, even.

but i'm wondering if i shouldn't make them a little more expensive? i'm pricing them totally arbitrarily, kind of based on my bellydance patches and how well they're selling. is the fact that i sold the first 7 within 12 hours (to only 3 people, admittedly) good enough reason to bump up the price? should i do an honest-to-the-cent accounting of materials & my time and equipment to take into account before i do any more tweaking? should i see how well one more batch sells before i re-think prices? i don't really want to sell them for too cheaply and then go and raise prices, but i'm already feeling badly about wanting to raise prices. i feel like people will go see that i sold the first few at a cheaper price and feel conned or something.
