Feathers

I have been given a bag of really pretty feathers and would like to use them in a framed project.
I think that if I were to use glue, modge podge, hot glue or rubber cement that it would really mess up the fluffiness of the feathers. The only thing that I can think to use is double-sided tape...
Does anyone know what I should be using?
Thanks!

Hi guys,

I've checked the memories, and did a Yahoo! search (can't stand google...), but I can't seem to find basic instructions on how to make a passport-type bag. I don't need precise directions or measurements, but I'm a little confused as to how to make to flap. I don't want it to be the exact width of the bag, because I'm afraid it won't lay flat when there's stuff in the bag - it will get compressed by the handles on the sides. So how would one go about making and attaching the flap? Does this make any sense at all? I don't know why I can't wrap my brain around it!

okay, i desperately need to know how to do this. the tutorial on craftster is not working and i basically want to die because i have all my pieces ready for construction and i can't find a similar tutorial ANYWHERE! (and i reaaaally searched.) would someone in here that knows how to do this make a quick step-by-step? i make these bags all the time and for some reason, figuring out how to piece them together always puzzles me to no end!

thanks <3

Hey,

Hopefully you guys will be able to help me out. I just recently bought this pretty awesome tote bag and just received it today. The only thing is the straps fit a lil snug when carried around my shoulder. My question would be is there any way to length them without totally taking apart the bag? Any help would be great, thanks!

I made a toolbelt! My sorority is getting ready to start a big building/construction/crafty project as community service, and we all decided to make ourselves snazzy toolbelts so we could build in style :-)

circle of flowers

tiny fabric flower hairpins, handsewn from thrifted fabrics and vintage buttons. i made an army of them to contribute to the sampler, and i couldn't resist sharing them here. they make me happy.

and a question, which may be a bit odd:
i want curved needles, for handsewing stuffies and embroidering 3D forms. thin like a sewing needle, but curved like a tapestry needle... except that the only curved needles anyone has ever heard of are tapestry needles, and those are much too thick and cumbersome. i am thinking that maybe they make curved sewing or embroidery needles for making stuffed bears? but i wouldn't even begin to know what to ask for. so... any help? have you heard of such a thing? what's it called?

thank you!

I'm not really on the ball about uploading pictures from my camera, but I managed to do it before it got obscenely too long after Valentine's to post about fun gifts...

I made my boy a fun Valentine's pillowcase because he has a pillow that's just been sitting on his bed, naked, for as long as I've known him.
