RANDOM QUESTION ABOUT PICTURE FRAMES!
i figured that some of you crafty ladies might be able to help me.

examples of the frames )

i am on the hunt to track down some WHITE, ORNATE & DECORATIVE PICTURE FRAMES, like these.
any ideas where i might be able to find these? i don't need them to be very big either- 4x6" or 5x7" at the biggest. i've seen them in gold and silver but never in WHITE.

HELP! any ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

So I just made my first dog toy for Corky. I made it in a little over an hour. A record for me! Made from felt, polyfill, and two squeaker mabobs from Petsmart.

BONEY! )

Hi All! I've been lurking here for quite a while, enjoying and being inspired by everyone's creativity and talent. Well, I was uploading a ton of photos of my craft projects to my flickr page this morning and I thought I'd finally knock down the shyness wall and share them here as well.

Cut for serious image overload )

This is Slush! He's been in the making for about 3 weeks now and I finally finished him today. The next two projects on my agenda are a teddy bear and a dragon.

Hi. I've been checking out all you craftgrrls for geez, I dunno a few months now. My name is Jenna. I'm a painter, some-time gardener, and bead freak. My main craft is definately making jewelry for myself, my girlfriends and my partner in crime.
So enough about me. I have a question. I'm in a wedding next weekend. The place I ordered my dress from (two months ago) is one of those wedding mega stores (I'll call it Daniel's). As luck would have it I got my dress today and can't have it altered by them in time. Well I can but it's gunna cost me an arm and a leg and I don't think the bride wants me missing limbs...Normally I would bust out the sewing machine and do it myself but I'll admit it...I'm afraid to screw it up. The dress is celery-colored satin and I have never sewn satin before. All I really need to do is hem it up about 2".
Where's the question you may be asking??? ---> Can I cheap out and use velcro in this pinch I'm in? Can I use the peel and stick kind or do I have to use the iron on one? If I do have to use the iron on, will the adhesive leave any kind of mark on the satin that can be seen?
And I know how everyone hates it when there's nothing to look at so, here's a necklace and bracelet.
Thanks Ladies.

Some more of my little felt dolls under the cut.
Just for the record, I'm not very good with a camera and one of the sets is kind of not work-safe. You have been warned. ;)

1001 Nights, St. Patrick, a dungeon and Spain, all under this cut )

I'm going to knit Calorimetry for a friend who really liked mine. She loves blue and sparkly. I have some thin but pretty blue--too lightweight for Calorimetry by itself--from a sweater I frogged and I could get some sparkly. To use them together, would I just draw from both balls at the same time, or do something like spin them together first? Or should I stop being silly and just buy some blue sparkly yarn that's already an appropriate weight?

Why can't life just be all...butterflies and blooms? )
