May. 1st, 2008 04:43 amMy three year "anniversary" with my boyfriend is coming up, and I have a couple questions..
1. What are different ways to make a bookmark? I'm making one for my boyfriend with some beads I picked up, but I'm looking for different options. I know of the metal ones you can buy (not sure of the actual term but they look somewhat like a shepherd's hook) and attach a string of beads to the end, but I'm hoping there's something else I can do as an alternative to that.
2. What would I use to attach keys (as in, housekeys, not keyboard keys) to a wooden picture frame? I was thinking Gorilla Glue, but I'm not sure if that would be the smartest way to do it.
Thanks a lot. :)

I did this last summer
May. 1st, 2008 01:37 pmMy dad had Houston Astros' Season tickets until him, my mom, and brother moved to Qatar. We would always get there early so we could get the freebies. My brother was a big fan of getting all the players' autographs and well, I'm a big fan of Brad Ausmus. So when they moved, my brother gave me a calendar that Ausmus had signed for him. I got bored one day, probably procrastinating a school paper or something, and I did this.
Comments and everything would be appreciated!

So, if I want to dress up as a knight for Halloween (yay for cross-dressing), what are good ways to go about crafting some armour? I'm asking this now because I am actually crazy enough to consider making my own faux chain mail out of jewelry jump rings, which just might take all summer. However, I'm wondering if there are any shortcuts to sitting there putting a billion little rings together? If I were to buy bulk jewelry chains (the kind with the most circular, open rings obviously) and then attach a few (ok, probably more like 200) of those together, would that work? Or is there some other clever thing that I could do? I really want this costume to be impressive, as I'd like to wear it to the Halloween party at the law school I'm attending, and I really don't want to look like a dork in a fluffy wool knit that's painted silver.... I'd rather look like a dork in real mail. ;)
I may totally give up on this idea very shortly, or just succumb and buy a costume when it gets closer, but I'm curious to hear people's suggestions...

Full of angry lies and deadly stares, she'll rip you to the bone.

I don't know i anyone has posted about this site yet, I checked the memories and didn't find it. I'm sorry if it's been posted before
I was on youtube the other day (I finallygot highspeed at my new house, yay!) and completely forgot that I had subscribed to a craft channel. It's called ThreadBanger. I decided to take a look, and I can't believe how many awesome crafts are on there! They show video tutorial's and everything. You can also see the video's and more on threadbanger.com. It's so awesome, I can't wait to start making some of the stuff that's on there.
I'm sorry for any typo's, my mom's laptop is wonky and my spell check isn't working for some reason.
I'm off to bed so I can get up before the baby and go to work (boo)
