A few years ago, about three, I posted a link to a PDF file on this group, from my mother's learn-to-knit book from the 1950's. I have since lost the hard drive it was stored on, and I can NOT find the post! I looked in memories, I looked through the archives month-by-month, and found other posts by me, but not the book one. Can anyone remember this? Has it been deleted? And most importantly, can anyone find a copy of the PDF?

Ok, so if i were to sell these items (see the lj cut) How much should i charge. Someone suggested selling my stuff the other day, but i have no idea how to price it, because usually if i sell, its to my friends, and I will just say you give me what you feel is right!

Hi! I'm not new to the community i'm usually known as [profile] petatron however this is my craft blog, so i guess this sort of merits for a hello and introduction. Anyways I am Peta, i'm 24 and from brisbane australia. I crochet and sew.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there had a craftblog on lj? I'm looking for more to read!

and so this isn't a text only post.

Ripple Week 5

This is my ripple blanket that I've been working on for the past month. Its made from various acrylic yarn's, all around the 8ply mark. I've been using a 4mm crochet hook. I've been unemployed for a little while (but now i have a new job so yay!) so I used this time to learn to crochet better and read patterns. The first thing I try? a ripple blanket. Its probably about half way done. i stuffed up a little at the bottom, but left it. I can't wait til its done.

after seeing all the lovely ones out there I had to give it a go.

Fruits are good for you, they make you happy! See? ^_^

Apples are 'regular size'. I have mini melons! ^_^

I made this today, a tribute to fruit because I love fruit!
My fruitbowl needed some pimpin'.

(it's a single picture, if you want it behind a cut, do ask.)

someone i know was enquiring about using natural dyes on fabrics. particularly for dying tshirts and yarns i think. i have found quite alot of info on what to use to create the colours, but what is the best thing to use to 'set' the dye so it won't wash out?
thanks!

alright, it's time to call on collective creative conscious of the craftgrrl extraordinaries! while gallivanting out yesterday, i had a major revelation that i wanted to build diner booths for my kitchen. the problem is that my kitchen is TINY, so they would have to be the size of those single person booths. size and logistics aside, i wondered if anyone has ever done this before? even though they are RIDICULOUSLY expensive to buy, i can't really seem to find tutorials on how to make one. i don't want anything so amazingly stunning that i could sell it, i just want it to look slightly authentic.

also, would anyone know where i might find something for cheap like that? auctions? help!

oh, in case you were wondering, yes my kitchen will be elvis themed. pictures to come soon.

Newbie!

Because of my wedding planning I have officially been bitten by the DIY/Craft bug.

Here is the proof:

I made my own bouquet(s):
using all fake flowers )

I made invites, announcements and save the dates:
yes all 3 )
I made this myself:

check-it )
And finally the cake-topper:
I am in love with it )
