 What is your favorite pattern?
It can be to anything; pillow, dress, hat, rug: I don't care.
Anything.

If you could even upload it, that would be super duper!
:-P
Or point me in the right direction of it, haha.

But maybe even a little on why it's your fave?

I created this fan yesterday in a workshop.  I am so proud of it!  It was such a blast to create with a group of people around.  It so amazing how everyone's creations are so different and so inspiring.

Some new dolls made in the likeness of The Statue Of Liberty and Uncle Sam.

They're both 22 inches tall and completely hand stitched.

Whenever I make/reconstruct clothes I'm always left with so many little scrap pieces...but still big enough that it seems that i COULD do something with them.

I'm sure I could make little coin purses or something...any other ideas?

CellarDoor

After what feels like having pounded in several million nails, I’ve finally finished my sunburst cellar door project! I had an old rotted cellar door that needed to be replaced. I constructed a new door, stained it to match my deck color, and created a sunburst design on it by pounding in brass furniture nails. I topped it all off with several coats of clear-coat to make it all water proof. It looks so awesome. It’s difficult to see the nails/design in the pictures but IRL, it came out just as I’d hoped.

After designing the picture that I wanted digitally, I constructed a template and began by pounding a nail into each pixel. On the recommendation of a friend, I only pounded the nails in half way so that I could then easily tear off the paper template before pounding the nails in all the way. I tested this method on a small area with frustrating results. It was freakishly difficult to get the paper off; I had to resort to needle nosed pliers to get all the little bits off the nails. Then, when I went to pound the nails in the rest of the way, it was very difficult not to bend and ruin the neighboring nails. In the end, I gave up and pulled out all the half-way-in nails. I replaced them one at a time in the already started holes.

This lead me to my light-bulb moment of using my dremel with fine tipped bit to quickly go over the template and drill guide holes at all the pixels. I then simply removed the paper and tapped in the nails all the way. This technique worked great – even though it was labor intensive and took several weeks to finish.

This is a really easy pattern that turns out pretty cute. I'm not a great knitter, but I really like this pattern. My grandma gave me the pattern for baby gifts, and it really is the only think I can knit.

My co worker is having a summer baby, and it is nice pattern for the heat. Just enough to take the edge off of air conditioned rooms.

If anyone has any tips on making a brim for hats on kniffty knitters that don't involve snapping the yarn I would really appreciate any help.

I've been unable to locate any retailer around me who carries fabric dye that isn't Rit. I've heard more negative than positive about Rit, and buying dye online is a no-go for me. Would it be a particularly bad idea to attempt using India ink to dye clothing? Is there anyone here who has done this before? I'm aware that it would certainly dye the clothes, but what I worry about is the likelihood of the dye coming off on one's skin during the wear of the dyed clothes.

Thanks in advance.
