Looking for Polymer Clay Canework
Aug. 14th, 2008 08:47 amHi everyone,
I'm looking for someone to do some custom cane work for me..is there anyone here who has recommendations? It should be relatively simple. I'd try to make what I want myself but I just don't have time to learn a new craft :)
Mods, please delete if inappropriate, thank you!

Where can I get tags?
Aug. 14th, 2008 03:53 pmHi, all.
Love this community! People make great things, and everyone's really friendly. :)
I have a question for others who make and sell soft goods: Where can I get pre-printed tags for my purses and such? Not paper tags, but the fabric ones you sew in? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Darking Polyester
Aug. 14th, 2008 05:21 pmI am working on a costume for a friend and we found a dress that was PERFECT for what we were doing and would need very little modification (making my job much easier). The modifications are coming along coming along nicely but we have one problem. The color is a bit too bright red.
Is there a way to reliably darken 100% polyester fabric? We only need it to dark/dull a shade or two, nothing too major.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this or do you think we are stuck with the color as is?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sculptamold..?
Aug. 14th, 2008 07:09 pmHave any of you girls used Amaco's Sculptamold molding compound to make jewelry? Like, little beads and charms?
the Joann's in my town sucks, and has no polymer clay unless I want to spend $4 for a sugar-packet sized square, so I am looking for all other options.
Thanks in advance, ladies!

Gemstone Beads Website Recommendations
Aug. 14th, 2008 08:32 pmI read through the memories looking for websites recommendations, but most of the links were broken or not what I was looking for.
I'm looking to buy 6mm or 8mm gemstone beads (to make a Buddhist mala). I'm able to find places to buy online, but I wanted to know if anyone has particular recommendations. Ideally, I'd like to buy the cheapest beads possible, but I also know that if I go for the cheapest, their service may not be the greatest.
Currently, I'm looking at buying from Shipwreck Beads. They seem to have some decent prices, but I don't know how good their service is.
After I finish making my Mala, I'll be sure to post pictures. :)
Thanks in advance for any help!
