Hi Grrls,

Sorry for the text only post, but you were so very helpful with my last question (spray-painting metal) that I figured I'd shoot another one your way.

I have a ton of left over candles. You know the ones where you burn a pillar candle and the middle burns totally down, but you end up with all this leftover wax? I want to reuse them as candles can get expensive and I'm wondering if there's a way, or a tutorial somewhere, on how to melt down all that extra wax to make new candles? I know I'll have to purchase some wicks, but that just means a trip to Joanne's. Help is appreciated. Thank you muchly!

Scarlett

A while ago [livejournal.com profile] seestephgo posted here about getting a group of girls together to do our own version of a sampler, although it's more like a swap since everything was free/just for fun. http://community.livejournal.com/craftgrrl/11715646.html Well I just got all of my goodies and thought I'd share.

Hello all :) I just found this community and it's an instant love. I've been looking for a place to put my projects and get feedback from others and this seems to be a wonderful community :3.

I have been asked to paint a mural in a little girl’s bathroom of the little mermaid. It ‘s going to be fairly large (about 6ft by 6ft).

It will be painted above a large whirlpool-ish bathtub like the really big nice ones (not for sure what they are called). My question is what kind of paint would you ladies suggest using I didn’t know if acrylic would be the best thing to use since there would be the problem of steam and such since after all it is a bathroom.
I like working with acrylics, but didn’t know is there was something else more suitable.
Also how much would one charge for this? I’ve only ever done painting for my local movie theater and they only gave me free movie passes. I don’t want to over charge and then again don’t want to sale myself short.
Thank you, any help is much appreciated!
