I took a little internet hiatus for a few weeks, but I didn't stop making things!

I get easily distracted, so now these bracelets are keeping me busy. :) I need to stop being broke so I can buy more beads. xD

More under here )

Materials:

Czech seed beads in different pink tones
Bugle beads
Beading string (I forget what kind I have)
Silver Plated cones
Silver Plated toggles
Eyepins

I'm trying to find the findings to make a necklace, but I have no idea what to call pieces that look like this:

Help? Thanks, ladies!

Hey everyone! I don't post here often since my project is a continuous thing and I've been working on him off and on for about 5 years, if not more. But I have posted about him before (I have no clue where the post is considering it's been that long since I posted him).

So the background story is, this is my old dog Scamp (aka The Dog). Years ago my friend took this picture from me to stick on her 'picture wall' in her room. For my birthday her and another friend of mine decided to send the picture to an online company to get it changed into a cross stitch for me. This was years and years ago. I've had to put it down so many times to make wedding stitches, baby stitches, school was to be finished....just many things making me put it down!

Well I'm happy to announce that I have finally gotten my first FULL PAGE(!!!!!!!) done of Scamp on Feb 4, 2009. I'm happy to show off The Dog )

Cross posted to my personal journal and cross_stitch

Sometimes getting started on a new craft can be kind of frustrating if you don't have anyone you know in person that does it. (And if you're too timid to ask random people that you don't know except on the internet...)

So... I want to making jewelry (mostly earrings) with beads (mostly). What are the first 5 things I need to purchase to help myself get off to a good start? (Links to online stores are appreciated.)

Thanks.

Bloomers

Someone posted bloomers for under their dress that they sewed and I am 90% sure it was in this community. I looked back through every community I am a part of and can not find it. Does any one have the link to this?

I love looking at this community and all the great items people make! It inspires me :) Plus, I'm unemployed now, thank you layoffs, and have a LOT of free time on my hands *sigh*.

Anyway, I'm making a scrapbook of my kitten plus I made a couple pieces of jewelry, they are behind this cut )

decopauging

Question for you craftgirls and boys....Is there a way to make a decoupaged plastic bottle waterproof?  I would like to decorate a soap dispenser if possible because every time I purchase a pretty liquid soap dispenser, the pump either breaks, or just doesn't work, period.  I was thinking about decopauging just a regular Dial bottle....anyway to make sure it won't "melt" off if it gets wet?
