Been slackin' lately. The warm weather over the weekend made me spend most of my hours outside with my dog =]

Happy Earth Day! )

Hello all!
I'm new to the community but wanted to share some creative ideas I've had lately.  Currently I'm starting to create an art journal for myself, and you can find updates on my blog. I'm also putting up some demos on youtube which you can find off of my blog as well. For now I wanted to share a greeting card idea that I just completed.  Take a look and I hope you enjoy: maeafair.livejournal.com/1151.html

Hey all!

Recently I decided I wanted to create an art journal for myself, and I've been documenting myself and posting the videos on youtube.  I'd never thought of art journaling before, but now I'm really starting to get into it as a small way to do art on a daily basis.  I thought I'd share my work with you here, so take a look!  Here's the link to my channel where you can find the individual videos: www.youtube.com/user/MaeaFair  When I put up another video/make more progress, I'll be sure to post a link in this community so you can take a look!

*cheers,

Help please!
I've started teaching myself to crochet and, never one for half measures, I've decided to make myself a hat....but I can't understand the pattern! Could someone translate it into crochet-noob-speak for me please?
This is the pattern http://patternsbydot.blogspot.com/2005/11/bobble-beauty.html

My old MP3 holder for my exercise band was a little stretched out and needed replaced. We had a good run together. Get it? Run? *rim-shot*

ANYWAY I'm too cheap to go spend 20 dollars on the manufacturer's case sold in stores.

See ya later little buddy )

I'm not sure if this would be an appropriate question for this community, but I'm planning on making a swimsuit. I'm not sure if I should, because I don't want it to fall apart in the pool! I know I have to use spandex/lycra fabric, but what thread should I use? And also, do I need a serger? My sewing machine has elastic overlock and a ton of other types of stitches already. Thanks in advance.

PS: I have a small chest, so I don't have to worry about a lot of support.

I spent the weekend at my parents' house. My mother had a new toy - a Zutter binding machine. So, of course I had to use it.
