I was absolutely dying yesterday at work being on the phones constantly and answering questions about swim lessons, so while I was answering the same questions over and over, I busied my hands making a stamp!

I have a problem, and I thought if anyone would know how to solve it, the brilliant crafters here would!

My Ren Fest costume is one of those pure silk ones. The problem is (quite literally) in my pants. Where the thighs rub there is an enormous hole developing; right now it looks like fishnet! Here's a pic so you can see what I'm talking about. )
I've darned a small hole in this before, but I don't think that's a practical option now. Is it possible to apply some kind of patch to silk? Anyone have experience working with this kind of fabric and can give me pointers?

I'd really like to avoid buying new pants; they were very expensive! Thanks guys!
