hey crafters~

Would any of you happen to know how to get an antique finish like this:

On shiny polished silver? This is the charm I'm trying to get the effect on if that's relevant. I considered black shoe polish (do they even make that anymore?) or maybe painting the crevices with black acrylic paint (but how could this be sealed?)... not sure if either would work. Google showed me the hard boiled egg method, but my mommy would throw a fit if I kept a rotten egg around :p
