Embroidery help, please!

So, I took a drawing of a murloc, and used one of photobucket's cartoon-y filters to simplify it. I put it on a light box, and traced the outlines, the markings, and what muscle definition I thought was necessary. Traced it onto a white towel with a washout pen. (So, yes, this makes my murloc a tracing of a tracing of a cartoon version of a cartoon version of a cartoon creature.)
I originally considering doing satin stitches and filling in the whole thing, but decided I didn't have the patience. I have more towels, more floss, I can do it another time if I want to. So, I decided to do it in colored outlines, with each line the color of the skin it is outlining. The body is mostly green, with a red and blue rump. The spines on the back are red, the feet are red, and the ankles are yellow.
My question is what to use to outline his teeth, lower jaw, and the white markings behind his eye. If I use white floss, it will blend in with the towel. If I use black floss, it probably will be understood as white, but will look the same as the black ring around his eye.
...So, how do you outline white things on white?
