I'm looking at knitting a robot for my baby, due in September. I'd like to use something pillow-shaped/square for the body, so it holds it's shape, but I also want it to be machine washable and baby-friendly. I'll be using polyfill for the arms & likely the head, which is what I normally use for stuffed knit items.

What would you suggest using?

Hey ladies! I am making my first trip to Portland in September, and have heard *great* things about the fabric and craft supply shopping.

What should I check out?

It's been so long since I've posted!!

Here are a couple of crafty things...

My grandmother embroidered Hello Kitty on a antique hankerchief for me!! I love it...

I had a plain shirt which I revamped, it's now one of my favourite shirts...

Made this out of some Fimo clay, beads, and a lichia "shell" I didn't want to throw away, because:

a) I'm a packrat
b) they're interesting and egg-like, aren't they?

While snakes aren't my favourite animals, this was very easy to make.
With time and patience I'll move to something more intricate... like a dragon, perhaps! ^_^
