Well, I thrifted this dress the last time I went out. I fell in love with the pattern and the gold buttons. I also knew that I had been wanting to make a long-sleeved mini dress for quite a while :) and I couldn't pass up the perfect opportunity. Here's the before:

Hey! This is my first post here; sorry for it being a question.
 

Anyway, I'm planning to start making all of my own clothing, mostly 50s style dresses. The point is, I want to make shoes to match each dress specifically. I've seen heeled sandals before that are like wood on the bottoms and look like they just have really really starched fabric over the toes etc.

So, the question is, how do you make sandals like that?
