need help w/wings

Hi, all. This is my first time posting here.

My baby's first birthday is coming up, and the theme of her party is going to be fairy kingdom. I want to make fairy wings for all the (kiddie) guests. I've been brainstorming about how to do this, and so far, I believe taht I will need tuille, flexible wire, and ribbon (to attach to child, backpack style?). I'll need to cover the wire that meets in the middle so as not to poke the kids.

Does anyone have any better ideas about how to go about doing this? Please keep in mind that I'm trying to keep costs fairly low for this.

Help with a Valentine's Day gift idea...

Hello! I have an idea of what I'd like to do for my boyfriend's Valentine's Day gift, but am a little unsure how to best carry it out. One of his favorite poets is ee cummings and I had the idea to somehow put an excerpt from a poem onto maybe a canvas and then paint something simple over it. Do any of you have any ideas on this? Basically I want to make some sort of art piece that incorporates part of a poem. I was thinking of painting an anatomically correct heart outline over the words. Any advice or ideas? I am sort of an art beginner... Thanks!
