I haven't crafted in a looooong time. I just recently made these:

My very first no sew tutu for my daughters 1st birthday.

I couldn't believe how much of a pain tulle was to work with. I think a lot of my hassle with it ended up being due to making it on an elastic waist band vs ribbon.Every time I tied/knot a strand of tulle on, it progressively started twisting and folding the elastic band in half. Definitely will try the ribbon method next time. I also think I will work with tulle by the roll vs by the yard, since the gals at the folding table wrinkle the tulle way too easily when they fold up your material.
There is also a parachute clip on the elastic to help ease it on and off. Haven't had a chance to try it on the owner yet (my 1 year old daughter). It didn't come out quite as I had envisioned, but I don't think it is bad either. Oh I also added small knots over each tulle strip with small strands of glitter tulle. That's what I was trying to display in the lower image.
I would love to learn how to make an actual sewn tutu like this:
Awesome TUTUI just can't seem to figure out why a sewn tutu's tulle wouldn't keep the elastic band from stretching. Wouldn't the seam get tugged upon ? I'm no genius at sewing X_x. Anyone know of a tutorial or hints/tips ?
