i have some projects i did for my niece my dad and my sister. i have oh.. 8 more people to make things for now. just trying to decide how i should do this. either mugs. or just a set of hot chocolate and flavoured spoons. or both. and for my niece and nephew.. mugs? they are 5 and 8 but i am doing them up in funky ways.. here.. Lemmie show you!

Felt Owl

I used this felt owl tutorial to create a sensory owl for my son. It was amazingly simple, although a little time consuming (cutting out all the feathers and gluing/pinning). I used a 3" styrofoam ball, and pinned with straight needles as well as glued to make sure the feathers would stay in place. It took me two nights to finish. You can't tell from this picture, but I also sewed beads on the back of all the pink "feathers" to give my son more sensory input.
