smashing pumpkins quilt..

You may remember me from several months back -- talking about the smashing pumpkins t-shirt quilt I was making my boyfriend. I finished it within a month, but I procrastinate and I just got around to uploading the pictures...




Finished product..it looks really thin on the carpet there, though it is extremely thick.


Another picture, slightly different perspective..you can get a little idea of the thickness here, though it still looks flat...


Center section of the quilt..apparently. This shows how pillowy the squares look. :)


Close up of one of the embroidered squares---this is representative of the song "Tonight, Tonight". I wanted to show this one so you could get an idea of the embroidery and of the font that I used for that. The embroidery thread I used was a metallic silver.


Here is another embroidered square..this one you can't see very well. It says,
"For Adam.
With love,
Melissa July 2003"


This is me peeking over the top of the quilt..just wanted to give you all an idea of how big it came out to be.
