I can't find the thread on this, so help me out, k?

Inspired by my moogle hat, I decided that I'm gonna be one for Halloween. I don't own white boots, however, nor do I think I really have use for white patent go go boots. Not enough to buy a pair, I think.

So, I do have a pair of black leather knee-high boots - yes, I'll be a very trashy moogle chick - and I was wondering if it was safe to paint them white for just one night and what paint would best go for this? Or, if I did choose to et the white patent go go boots, would I be able to somehow stain them a different color when I'm done?

I'll post pics of my costume this weekend. I hope to see others' costumes as well!
