i just bought my very own sewing machine!!!

i made my own halloween costume (with a lot of help from ricekrysbee and also using her machine) ad i had so much fun that i wanted my own machine. i went to walmart today and had a really helpful chashier lady who opened the box so we could check out the instructions (to see if it had a light, the box didn't say) even though she wasn't supposed to. its a really simple machine, a singer1525. i can't wait to start using it but for now i am late to go get margaritas with a friend.





i used a simplicity halloween pattern for the dress and overdress.


you do not see the mess in my living room.

as i did the wings. they took 1.5 hours each side! ahh! i did them by hand.
i used ribbon instead of elastic since elastic is sooo ugly and it worked great!
