A Thank You and a Little Story
Aug. 16th, 2002 12:49 pmThank you to everyone who responded to my questions about lip balm pots yesterday.
Last night my friend and I made some lip balm in his basement. His mother makes bath products and sells them, so we borrowed a little bit from her supplies and a little twist-top blue pot. We were basically just experimenting and changed her recipe a little. Surprisingly, I think I like our formula better. It seems last longer on my lips. It also seems to be more nourishing to dry lips (probably from the calendula oil).
My only regrets are that we didn't use enough tangerine and lime oil (the scent's not strong enough for me), and he did most of the "work" because he was "teaching" me. But now I've got an idea of how to make the stuff. And now I've just got to decide upon a style of tin and get to it
Thanks again.
