screen printing vs stenciling
Nov. 27th, 2003 04:09 pmhey everyone, i'm new here; just joined the other day. i went through the memories section and read up on screen printing. you guys are amazing with this stuff! i already finished my first screen, haven't tried it out yet, but it looks like it'll be sucessful. however, i'd like to know which is a better method to use for getting a design onto a t-shirt.. screen printing or stenciling? it seems to me like stencilling would be way easier, but then why would people do screen prints? is one method more professional looking that the other? or more durable over a long period of time? with a stencil would you have to use fabric paint instead of just plain old acrylics? i remember using fabric paint a long time ago and eventually it started cracking. it was the thick kind though. i guess it was the puff paint?
well, thanks guys, i hope that wasn't too many questions. i apologize if it's been gone over before, but i couldn't find anything on which is better in the memories.
