I've been looking at this community for a while and i'm lovin' what i see! I've already swiped the marble magnet/pushpin idea (mostly the pushpin one...more on that later). Anyway, i've made a few things in the past week, thanks to Thanksgiving break, and i wanted to share in hopes of some constructive criticism/tips/fun!

There was a new addition to my family this year, so i had to find a stocking for her! I couldn't find anything pre-made that i liked, so i made my own out of a plain one. It's just felt, embroidery floss, and some hot glue. It's not the greatest (the bone got all crooked, argh), but i think it's cute in that off-center thrown-together sort of way. Now i want to go any redo all of our stockings!

Necklaces...I must first say that these have been greatly inspired by pashupatina. I bought #37 and i've been oogling so many of them...but alas, i am short on money and i wanted to make my own, so here's my first few attempts:

sorry about the glare on this one...The one on the right is glass and some rose quartz and jade chips. The one on the left is wood beads, a few glass ones, and a vertebrae from some small animal. Don't ask.

More glass beads. I made the big "grapey" bunch by using a thin gauge wire (24, i think)and just wrapping the wire around the back of the bead, twisting, and repeating with another bead. Oh, and my boyfriend made this image, which explains why it's better than the other two (and bigger, sorry). Hehe.

Now...i'm having trouble with "ending" the necklaces...i don't really know how to explain it, but the crimper things just aren't doing it for me. I want to find a cleaner, "prettier" looking alternative. Ideas?
