i checked the memories, but i didn't see anything that answered my question. so i'm sorry if this has been answered before! anyways. i have cutouts that i customize the rubber toes and side panels of my chucks (shoes) with. the first time i did this, i used goop, but that didn't really work. so i bought some decoupage, because i've heard that it works very well and is generally used with cutouts anyway. so i re-did the side panels of my shoes, by sticking the cutouts to a layer of decoupage, waiting for that to dry, and then i put about three or four layers of decoupage over the top of that, just to be sure it stayed in place.
here's the problem...it's starting to crack!!! i went out today in my customized shoes, and there are little cracks all up in the decoupaged cutouts! has anyone had this cracking problem before? or is there an adhesive or a sealant that works better for this particular project? maybe i used too much top-layer? not enough? i have no idea, but i love customizing my shoes like this. i wish i had pictures to show you. anyways. any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks in advance...
