well I need some advice//

I am making a tray. It started as a plain wood tray from Michael's. I've painted it and I am in the process of gluing decorated marbles onto the flat surface of the tray. [the marbles you make for marble magnets with pictures only minus the magnets]. Now once that is finished I want to cover it with glass or some kind of plastic// so the surface isn't bumpy and can acutely be used.

Any ideas of what to use and where to get it?

I'm very very open to ideas.
