Community?
Dec. 3rd, 2003 11:52 pmI have a spare Livejournal code, and was wondering if I should bother making a craft-trade community (I have noticed people commissioning various items in exchange for other crafted items). If so, I need someone to be co-moderator/teacher (I haven't moderated any significant communities).
So this isn't a text-only post, here's a pic of my very first crocheted scarf.

This is done in a double crochet w/ a sparkly white chenille yarn. I got a huge bagfull for $7ish at the thrift store. Enough for 3 scarves! Done w/ a .. 6.5mm hook, I think?

I still have to steam and trim the edges, but overall, I really like it (especially for my first one!)
I am also working on a few scarves in the Bernat Soft Boucle, which is totally hot and cheap ($4 Canadian at Wal-Mart for a 140 g.). The Earth Shades are so numbly, and totally could be used for a guy )only problem is, Wal-Mart is ALWAYS sold out because it's such a sex-in-a-ball yarn. *purr*). Pictures will come soon.
