Iron on transfer question
Dec. 6th, 2003 10:57 pmHello everyone! This is my first post to this community although I joined at least a month ago. I'm into a lot of crafts but at this time of year I make and have tried my hand at selling Bucilla stockings. I get a lot of ideas for stuff that I would like to make but sometimes I can't figure out exactly how to do it. So, I've decided to come here to tap into everyone's expertise. Today, I was given a vintage set of Care Bear sticker cards. They are very adorable and my daughter and I are avid Care Bear collectors. As I looked through the stickers, I thought it would be really neat to blow one of the images up and transfer it to fabric. So I'm posting behind this cut exactly what I would like to do...

This is one of the images that I really liked. I'd like to transfer it to fabric, possibly fabric that I could make into a little apron and stitch "Mama's Little Helper" underneath. Anyway, I'd like to know, do they make a certain paper that would do this for me that I can use in an ink jet printer? Do I need a special ink? What do you think the best way to get the image to the paper would be, via scanning it in, color copying it, or taking a digital picture such as the one above? Any help would be greatly appreciated as the closest I have come to doing anything like this is drawing on fabric with crayons.
