Spoon trick -just add fruit
Dec. 10th, 2003 01:31 pmXmas Production update.
I've finally managed to finish a xmas project. I made chocolate spoons on Monday and cant' get over how easy they are. I made mint-chocolate spoons and Belgian Bittersweet Spoons w/ red sugar sprinkles (I'm calling them my "Red Belgians"). I still have plans for milk chocolate, carmel, dark chocolate (for vegan friends) and white chocolate. I figured out a great way to "clean up" the left over chocolate in the bowl -you know how there is a point when you don't have enough chocolate left to cover a spoon but there's still some left. I dumped a buch of dried apricot chunks in the bowl and used up the remaining chocolate by coating the fruit. Most tasty clean up idea since the age-old "licking the bowl" technique.
The speediness of chocolate spoon dipping is galling compared to all the christmas-ornament sushi (aka. the project that would not end) that I've been working on for weeks. It's turning out to be really cute... just achingly slow.
