Hey ladies - This isn't a craft question per se but a lot of what you do seem to craft comes from our culture and that includes those things that are hip and new. I know there are a lot of teens to hip 40somethings around here, I happen to be niether a teen nor hip.

I have a 13 year old niece that is always difficult to buy for since I am so out of the loop, I was hoping that you could post links to your favorite stores, online e-zines or other places that might help a "stuck in the early 90s 30something" woman learn about the latest in younger styles be that fashion, room decor and whatever else might influence a teen.

I also have an 8 year old niece who soon will be into older stuff so if I can keep up on the trends, it would make my life much easier.

Um, for clarification, both girls are more mainstream and not on the outer edges, if you will. 13 year old is into snowboarding, volleyball, skateboarding and is casual but loves to wear makeup and when she dresses up, she's always in style -- she gets that from her mom. The 8 year old is from a pretty conservative family, dresses very girly and given how my bro and sis-in-law run their house, this will remain, I gather but who knows.

Anyhow, any links you can provide would be very helpful.

Thank you!
