aunt georgie's scarf, made out of yarn that feels like a kitten
its called vamos tweed, and it costs $10 a ball, but i made this with just over 1 ball so its wasn't too bad.
i used my new wooden m hook. and hdc.
i had tried it with a K hook but the yarn is all insane and eyelash-y and it was just hell. i used almost a whole ball for about 2 feet of scarf with the K hook.
it was a pain to take out too.

warm and nice (for my great aunt joan)
lionbrand homespun and the same nice wooden m hook
its HDC but very loose and with a bigger hook than i usually use for homespun so it made a nice hole-y patten

melisso just came in from a snowball fight

making those damn tassels took as long as making the whole friggin' scarf (ok the scarf took a little over 2 hours, and the tassels took like an hour and a half i guess.)
note: its not meant to be worn like this, i was just insane from tassel-making.
lionbrand wool-ease thick and quick in catskills on the big dildo hook (Q)

melisso shows of the versitility of sarah's scarf. its long enough to be a scarf AND a hat.

for those of you who have never seen the enormity of the Q hook, there it is.
those grey-striped things (yes, they ARE leggings) are my knees and i am not a little girl.
the hook in this picture is SMALLER than life size.
