I just finished my christmas present for my mom & I'm really excited because I think it turned out really good and I am also just relieved that it's finished. It is a Jiffy Stitchery "gallery crewel" kit - the background water color painting is stamped onto the fabric & the roses, leaves, dogs noses & eyes & some fur is done with embroidery stitches. It is my first (& last!) stamped project, it's not really my style, and I found it really hard on my eyes. It took about 20 hours from start to finish & is 5 x 7. Total cost including the frame was $25.
